Ash

Ash is a designer, wildlife conservationist and the founder of Wildlifeel at Home - a blog confronting the quiet violence of conventional home design. While crafting the field guide for Conservation-Based Design/Build Practices with every written post, she's helping folks create homes that allow wildlife to keep theirs, too. Ash uses this blog to teach as she learns, to help others understand the impact and ripple effect of our individual choices on individual animals, their homes, and their wellbeing - from local to global. All by encouraging well-informed choices and compassionate alternatives. She believes that every design and construction choice is a moral one, and she refuses to let anyone pretend otherwise. When not fighting habitat loss from within the industry that causes so much of it, she spends time on the land that hugs her PNW off-grid cabin, pleasantly lost with her chickens, somewhere between woods and water.
